The Hispanic Local Scholarships Fund and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and Bacardi Gold have partnered to provide financial resources to an outstanding female Latino student. The Local Scholarships award is in the amount of $15,000 and is disbursed in two payments in Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.
The WNBA’S INSPIRING WOMEN Local Scholarships platform celebrates women who inspire, motivate, and help ignite the dreams and aspirations of women in all endeavors. The 6th Annual National Award Luncheon will take place on May 24, 2011 in New York City, bringing together leaders in business, media, sports, the arts and public sector, for a special program to honor the achievements of extraordinary individuals.
